Here at CoreFit Newcastle we’re on a mission to empower Newcastle residents who have let their health go and want to re-discover their old selves again.

At CoreFit Newcastle the quality of our coaching and training methods set us apart from everyone else. We base our coaching on our “Core 3 Philosophy” – Exercise, Nutrition and Mindset. Our programming is centred around functional training methods and providing balanced, structured workouts for our clients.

While many of our clients do have weight loss goals, we teach people that permanent weight loss – weight loss that allows them to love their bodies – is the result of a balanced lifestyle and doesn’t have to be about constantly slashing calories and making seperate dinners from their families.

We’re looking for a Coach who has a passion for helping people, has a very genuine interest in their clients needs, is willing to go above and beyond and is keen to take on responsibility.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

  • You will be responsible for providing a world-class training experience that delivers measurable results to clients, cultivates a strong sense of community and creates raving fans of CoreFit Newcastle.
  • You will be working with men and women, mainly between the ages of 30 and 55 with varying fitness levels from the very de-conditioned to the extremely fit.
  • Your clients may come to you with pre-existing injuries or conditions, such as shoulder pain, back pain, knee pain, abdominal pain. arthritis and you must be able to modify exercises to accommodate their conditions.
  • Your clients will vary in motivation and this is what being a great Coach is about, you will connect and influence each of them to produce great results.
  • You will be responsible for the development and delivery of effective, structured session plans within our small group, group fitness and personal training programs. Your responsibility is to take part in leading and driving these services.
  • You will be part of a team and have to be willing to open your mind, listen, learn and offer your insights to help everyone around you. EVERYONE has something to offer that is unique and we value everyone’s contribution no matter what role you play in our team.

WHAT YOU’VE GOT TO HAVE

  • Great communication skills. You will be talking with our clients, who are very important to us. You must be comfortable conversing in-person and know how to conduct yourself professionally and deliver clear instructions to the clients. We will teach you everything you need to do during a training session, but manners, interpersonal skills and professionalism must come naturally.
  •  A hunger to lead and grow with the business. You must have a hunger for the fitness industry and see it as your long term career. You must be willing to work flexible hours, take on responsibility and be keen to develop.
  •  People skills and personality. You must love working with people! You must be very comfortable working with people. This is an exciting studio and you must be able to show your clients genuine care, interest, energy and excitement while working with them.
  •  Personal training experience and a hunger for education. We are a functional fitness studio and pride ourselves on delivering well balanced, effective workouts to our members. An understanding of strength training is a necessity (body weight, medicine balls, barbells, kettlebells, TRX, boxing etc). We need someone who is ready and able to help clients be the best version of themselves, part of which means being able to safely coach and critique strength training movements. You’ll be expected to constantly educate yourself on better, more efficient ways to coach.
  •  Passion for the fitness industry and helping others. Our top 2 core values are passion and authenticity. Part of fitting in with our culture means personally investing and having a genuine interest in the growth of our clients.
  • Comfort with technology.

WORK HOURS

The role will start anywhere from 10-20 hours per week. You must have flexibility and be available to work early mornings, mid mornings and evenings. Saturdays mornings are required at times.

BONUS SKILLS

You must have your certificate III and IV in fitness as well as your first aid certifications. Personal Training Experience is a must as is experience training group fitness sessions.

Any of the below is a bonus:

  • Pilates or Yoga Certifications
  • Nutrition Certifications
  • Sales and/or Administrative experience
