Client Of The Month - Corefit Newcastle
Testimonial

We admire the unwavering dedication of Dave & Bec to training each week which is why they our client of the month!

Which program are you a part of at CoreFit?
Bec: I am a part of the Small Group Program, training 3 times a week now.
Dave: I am also in the Small Group Program, training 4 times a week.

What training, if any, did you do before starting with CoreFit?
Bec: I had not exercised with any regularity for over 20 years. I attended the odd yoga or
aerobics class, but not regularly and never for long.
Dave: In my twenties I was hiking and running regularly. But when I started working as a
Paramedic, the long and irregular hours made exercising seem impossible. So I stopped.

What inspired you to reach out to CoreFit to get started?
Bec: Before CoreFit I was the heaviest I had ever been. I was getting sick regularly, and was
struggling with my mood. I was always tired and lacking motivation to do anything. Dave joined
CoreFit and I saw an immediate positive change in him. So I trialled it for a week and never left.
Dave: I was at my heaviest and my health was bad. I was drinking to cope with stress and
quitting smoking after a heart attack. So, I started researching options and the CoreFit success
stories struck a chord. I did the 1-week trial and haven’t looked back.

What’s the #1 thing you’ve noticed in yourself since starting?
Bec: After starting with CoreFit I noticed that it didn’t take long before I started to feel stronger
and had more energy. I started to tone up and I could feel my cardio-vascular fitness improving.
Most welcome, my mood and outlook improved. And for someone who used to hate exercise
and sweating, I now enjoy my workouts. Well most of them!
Dave: The first change I noticed was that I was coping with stress better and I started to lose
weight almost straight away. I noticed that my cardio-vascular fitness was improving as was my
strength. My mood and energy levels also lifted.

What do you enjoy most about training with CoreFit?
Bec: The people. The trainers are all friendly and take an interest in every individual person and
their goals. The people in every class are supportive and help each other to stay on track with
their goals. There are no posers here. It’s a great culture here.

Dave: All round, just feeling better. I have more energy and enjoy working out with people who
become friends. And Dan’s dad jokes make it worth it too!

What’s your #1 piece of advice for anyone looking to start their fitness journey?
Bec: Just give it a try. You literally have nothing to lose but the bad stuff. There is no good time
to start and no quick or easy solution. You will always have other things (e.g. family, work)
pulling at your resources. But you will feel the gains quickly if you give yourself the time.

Dave: You need to want it. No time is the best time to start. Just be consistent, whether you are
having a good day or a bad day. Just show up and keep going.
