His motivation and dedication to training gives inspiration which is why he is our client of the month.
Which program are you part of at CoreFit? Group Fitness – Mainly outdoor crew
What training, if any, did you do before starting with CoreFit? I was doing some training at home, some online workouts & boxing but found it hard to stay motivated & consistent.
What inspired you to reach out to CoreFit to get started? I was the heaviest I’d been in a long time, not feeling healthy or great about myself and knew I needed to make a change. I had heard of CoreFit through a friend and came across the 6-week challenge on Facebook and decided to give it a go thinking I would do the 6 weeks to get me started and back on track, then continue on my own. At the orientation morning I realised there was something different about the approach & philosophy at CoreFit, it’s not just about exercise & losing weight but more about a holistic approach to your health & fitness journey, physically, mentally and long term.
Whats the #1 thing you’ve noticed in yourself since starting? It’s a lot of little things, feeling stronger, fitter, more confident, better mobility, increased stamina, more energy, a clearer mind & focus that all contributes to feeling better than I did yesterday. Consistency is the key.
What do you enjoy most about training with CoreFit? The coaches & the people I train with. The CoreFit crew are an amazing bunch of people who encourage, support & inspire each other every day. The coaches are awesome, they keep the classes fresh & interesting, push us to achieve & hold us to account. They are genuinely interested in each person & helping them succeed & achieve their goals. That what keeps me coming back.
What’s your number #1 piece of advice for anyone looking to start their fitness journey? My advice would be to lean to slide right. The slide right mentality has help me change the way I think about my health & fitness journey. It’s not all about being at your best every session, trying your best yes, but it’s ok to have an off day or below par week. Consistency & momentum are the key & will see you improve & achieve in the long run.
