Which program are you part of at CoreFit? Small group
What training, if any, did you do before starting with CoreFit? After having my kids in my late 30’s and early 40’s, chasing around after them became the only exercise I was doing for about 15 years before coming to Corefit.
What inspired you to reach out to CoreFit to get started? I had to have a hysterectomy in late 2021. This was very taxing on my now 50 something body. Very sadly within 3 months of my surgery my mother developed an aggressive cancer and died. Between my deep grief and the surgery I was a bit of a mental and physical wreck. One day my kids told me they were afraid that I was going to die. It was the wake up I needed. I had seen Corefit ads and decided to reach out to do a kickstarter.
What’s the #1 thing you’ve noticed in yourself since starting? I didn’t realise how much self confidence I had lost. Regaining my physical strength is improving my mental strength and I am far less overwhelmed by the little things. I feel happier and more capable to do ‘life’.
What do you enjoy most about training at CoreFit? Everything! The workouts, the location, the consistency, the class times, the community, but above all, the coaches. I love being pushed – just enough so I don’t injure myself! I also like that I can have an off day, and still come away with a win. Corefit is my happy place.
What’s your number #1 piece of advice for anyone looking to start their fitness journey?
Just show up. When the alarm goes, don’t think. Get up get changed and get there. That’s the hardest part when you start. So don’t think – just do!Share
